Shoulder bag made of Cambodian golden silk. Each bag is carefully handmade by artisans in Cambodia. The cocoons of silkworms are soaked in 70°C hot water, untied, and the threads are carefully dyed with natural dyes, giving the fabric a natural warmth and coloring that is rustic and tasteful. Raw silk, which is still spun from cocoons, is characterized by its natural and unique texture and lightness.
The rounded bottom and pleated opening create a feminine and gentle atmosphere. The rope-like handle made of the same silk fabric has two crossed strings with a cushion inside, so it fits gently when worn on the shoulder.
The gusset is a generous 14cm, so it has excellent storage capacity! Three pockets on the inside are useful for organizing your belongings. The production process of silk bags begins with the making of thread. In the rural villages of Takeo Province, where the silk industry has traditionally flourished in Cambodia, self-sufficient home handicrafts are actively practiced. Each family raises silkworms, boils the cocoons, spins the raw silk, dyes the yarn with natural dyes such as plants and trees, and weaves several meters of silk fabric on a loom at home over several dozen days. The silk fabric is then sewn by hand by craftsmen in NGO workshops, and each piece is carefully finished.
