Kanayo Hidano
Picture book author and radio personality.
Lives in Sapporo. She is a self-confessed animal lover.
Her books include [Why Cat Loves Fish] (Shinpusha), [Nikoniko Gyukyu] [Obi to Tane] (Nakanishi Publishing), [Osaru-san] (Doshinsha), [Umareru mae no hanashi] [Penguins are flying] (Poem Peace), [Neko-chan, what happened?] (Mirai Publishing), etc.
[Her three works, "Why Cat Loves Fish", "Ringo Ringo Ringo", and "Umarerumae no Onanashi" won the Bibakarasu Prize at the Kenbuchi Picture Book Village Grand Prize, and she has received many other awards.
She also gives lectures and is a personality on FM Hokkaido's popular program "Nikoniko Gyukku".
