There were such heroes in your hometown! This is a series of books for 4th grade elementary school students to learn about local traditions and culture, and the work of predecessors who devoted themselves to the development of their local communities (from the Courses of Study).
Volume 2 focuses on predecessors who were active in the field of education. [One of them was the first female exchange student to study in the U.S. and devoted herself to women's education in Japan; another was the founder of judo and the first Asian to be appointed as a member of the International Olympic Committee.
