History of Kyo Aburatorigami The gold leaf production that decorated Kyoto's beautiful temples, Buddhist statues, kimonos, and other Kyoto culture was born in Kyoto and originated in Kanazawa. Gold leaf-placing paper was used to make thin gold leaf by tapping small pieces of gold over and over again.
