Description
This is an elegant series of glassware that reflects the komon pattern, which has been used as a pattern for cotton products such as kimonos and hand towels since the Edo period, in a single color of gold. Each pattern has its own auspicious meaning, and the repetition of these patterns represents eternal peace. Asanoha (hemp leaf)*The hemp leaf signifies the growth of a child*health because it grows quickly. Shidare-zakura (weeping cherry tree)*The cherry tree is a symbol of prosperity because it blooms all at once. Yagasuri (arrow-shaped kasuri)*A lucky pattern used for bridegrooms' wedding accessories, as an arrow that is shot will not return. Yukirin (snowflake): Snow is called the spirit of the five grains, and is associated with the wish for a bountiful harvest. Suehiro (Suehiro) *The fan is a lucky shape with a broad expanse. It is used to pray for future development. Cloisonne (Shippo)*The cloisonne, made up of overlapping circles, is an auspicious pattern that represents happiness. Asagao (morning glory)*The morning glory is called the "checker flower," and together with the legend of the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, it is thought to signify the fulfillment of a love affair. Kikko-tsunagi (auspicious connection)*This is an auspicious connection of four auspicious patterns (Aokkaiha, Kikkou (turtle shell), Kakanoha (hemp leaf), and Sayagata (gauze shape)). |
