| *Product Features High-quality recycled cotton is made by spinning only the long fibers of the virgin cotton fallout generated in Japanese spinning mills into sweet-twisted cotton. These ribbed leggings are loosely knitted from this cotton on a rare large-diameter knitting machine. The yarn bundles are dyed by hand, one by one, using a technique called "speck dye," which gives them an uneven, vintage-like color. They stretch well, have a comfortable fit, and are moderately thick and soft to the touch without a prickly feel. [What is speck dye?] This is a dyeing technique in which dye grains are made by hand and adhered to the surface of the fiber. This creates a vintage-like uneven color by creating a mottled pattern on the fibers. The grains created by human hands are not as precise as those produced by machines, and the unique color gradation that cannot be produced without the skill of a craftsman is an attractive feature. *Loosely knit, this item stretches well and has a comfortable fit. *The leggings are knitted with a painstakingly dyed yarn, giving them a vintage look and feel. *The elastic waistband is replaceable. *Recycled cotton 100 is made from 100% virgin cotton waste (unused fiber) spun and recycled at Japanese spinning mills.
