Description
*M size sold out Shigaraki ware, produced mainly in Shigaraki Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, is a traditional pottery with a long history and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. Shigaraki is a land of high quality clay, which produces pottery with a soft and warm expression of simplicity. The shiny powder-coated rim series is characterized by a warm texture that is comfortable to the hand, with a black spot pattern of iron contained in the clay and the feel of the clay. The series with lines in matte glaze is a simple yet basic vessel that can be easily matched with various dishes, and both have a texture that allows you to honestly enjoy the beauty of the unique glaze. The L plate is just the right size to put a piece of bread on. The M size is perfect for putting sandwiches or bagels on, and is also recommended for enjoying a home café. The S size can be used as a serving plate for food or as a bread plate to be placed next to the main plate. The S size can also be used as a cake plate for teatime, making it an ideal size for any occasion. [ceramic product information] Each piece of pottery is made by hand. Conditions during firing are constantly changing, such as temperature, humidity, and the way the kiln is exposed to fire depending on the location of the kiln. Therefore, there are individual differences in color and texture even when fired in the same process. Also, since pottery is mainly composed of clay, it absorbs water and develops a "flavor" as it is used over and over again. The stains and penetrations that appear after repeated use are called "the scenery of the vessel. Please enjoy the differences in the appearance of each piece of pottery. *In general, pottery is highly absorbent, so before using it, it is recommended that you apply a "sealing treatment" to prevent stains and odors. To prevent stains and odors, please follow the following steps. 1. Pour enough rice brine (or water and potato starch or flour) into the pot to cover the bowl. 2. Put the pot on the fire and boil over low heat for about 20 minutes after it boils. (*Gray spots may appear on the entire surface of the vessel, but this is due to the penetration of water, and will return to normal when the vessel dries.) 3. Allow the bowl to cool as it is, then rinse it with water and dry it thoroughly. Before*After use Soak the bowl in water before each use to reduce the possibility of food juices, oil stains, and odors adhering to the bowl. If you leave the bowl soaked in water after use, it may absorb dirty water and cause stains, mold*, and odors. Please be careful. After use, wash with a soft sponge and dry well before storing. 【CERAMIC PRODUCT INFORMATION】
