Description
| The crown glass series made of recycled glass is characterized by its rustic texture. The sprawling form is stable and has a sense of presence, and just a single flower arrangement will add a picture to the space. *REUSE=recycled glass series*. As the name suggests, this series is made of recycled glass. The glass is blown by scooping out melted glass with a blowpipe and blowing it into a mold one by one. Since each piece is made by hand, there may be small bubbles or flow of glass. The mouth of the piece may also have a raised part, which is formed when the glass is cut from the blowpipe and heat-treated. Glass is very sensitive to heat and temperature changes. 裾広がりのフォルムは安定感があるうえに存在感もあり、お花を一輪生けるだけで空間が絵になります。
●「REUSE=再利用」ガラスシリーズ●
このシリーズは、名前のとおり再生ガラスで作られています。
溶かしたガラスを吹き竿ですくい取り、型の中でひとつひとつ息を吹き込んで作る吹きガラス技法で作られます。
ひとつひとつ人の手で作っているためガラスの流れや小さな気泡があります。
また口の部分に盛り上がった箇所があったりしますが、これは吹き竿からガラスをカットした後、熱処理した時にガラスが流れて出来るもので、これもまた吹きガラスの特徴です。
ガラスは熱や温度変化に対してとても弱いです。
耐熱ガラスではありませんので急に熱湯を注いだり、冷凍庫で凍らせたりしないで下さい。
