Description
*Microwavable, dishwasher-safe Ceramic* porcelain tableware is produced in the Mino region of Gifu Prefecture [Minoyaki]. Awasaka Corporation handles all of its products and materials domestically produced with the desire to bring safety and security to the dining table. [Checkered pattern: A weaving pattern that can be seen on haniwa clay figurines and dyed textiles in the Shosoin Repository at Horyuji Temple during the Kofun period. The pattern later came to be known as the checkered pattern, as Ichimatsu Sanogawa I wore hakama with this pattern on stage during the Edo period (1603-1868). *Komon product features *Depending on the position of the ware in the kiln and temperature differences during firing, there may be subtle differences in the way the glaze and gosu burn, flow, and coloration, called "kiln alteration". *Please note that the color may vary slightly from item to item, although we have tried to keep the color tones as consistent as possible. *This product is made of porcelain. It is safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher, but not in the oven. |
