A project of Spin Gear, this is a precision machined Dokugaku manufactured by Mitsumi Seisakusho, a town factory in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo.
A 5-yen coin is used as a weight to further extend the spinning time.
This Dokuraku is an ideal souvenir of Japan, especially Tokyo.
We are particular about the tip shape that can be rotated even within a 5-yen coin. It can be played on trains and airplanes.
This is a combination of Dokuraku, which has been regarded as a good-luck charm since olden times, and the pun of "go-en," or five-yen coin. How about this as a gift to wish for good luck in your work and studies?
We did not make this model for a long time because we felt that the light spinning of the aluminum body was "pleasant". The spinning time is about 2~3 minutes. Please understand that this is not a "precision spinning top" that can spin for a long time, as it depends greatly on the location of the spinning point and the skill of the player. It is also recommended for children.

*Backstory of production
The five-yen coin is so precise that it was discovered that the size of the five-yen coin is slightly different between the Showa era and the Heisei era. The product comes with an unused Heisei 5 yen coin that fits perfectly.
Due to the precision of the product, the 5 yen coin may not come off when pushed in with fingers due to the individual differences in the 5 yen coin. Please play with it by placing it lightly. If the hole in the center is properly positioned, it will fit easily and come off easily, but there is a possibility that it may get stuck if the hole is misaligned at a level that cannot be seen visually.
