Description
| [Ethical (regional)] The side fabric is finished with a technique called Mon-ori. Rushes are woven into the fabric in the same way as general matting, resulting in a firm and solid fabric. Domestic rushes (from Kyushu) are used. Each strand is thick, with a thick outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable. Rigusa has a natural purifying effect on the air and regulates humidity. It is also stain-resistant, and as it is used, it changes to a golden color, giving it a distinctive flavor. The rush grass is treated with Aomori Hiba (anti-bacterial and deodorant effect). The inner material is a three-layer structure of urethane sandwiched between felt, providing moderate cushioning. |
