The extremely delicate return of the mouth and the beautifully curved body line designed by Shinichi Sumikawa. This glass series[es] enhances the high quality of aroma. After a four-and-a-half-year stint at the Design Center of Sony Headquarters and the Design Center of America, he became independent in 1991. After establishing Shinichi Sumikawa Design Office in 1991, he has been working independently since then. He has been backpacking and working in 57 countries around the world, and has been practicing free-spirited design. He specializes in ergonomic curved surface design using his geometric skills as an engineering designer, 3D CAD, and a printer. The CAD he uses is Lino. He is currently using his fourth printer, AFINIA, 2016. 東京新宿生まれ 1984年千葉大学工学部卒、ソニー本社デザインセンター、アメリカデザインセンターで4年半の駐在を経て1991年独立。
1991年澄川伸一デザイン事務所設立後、現在に至る。
バックパッカーと海外勤務含めた世界57ヶ国の滞在経験を活かした、自由奔放なデザインを実践。
工学部デザイナーとしてのの幾何学スキルと三次元CAD、プリンターを活用した人間工学的な曲面設計を得意とする。
使用CADはライノ プリンターは4台目で現在はAFINIAを使用 2016年
最近はリオ オリンピック公式卓球台のデザインを担当
