| Utsuwa [nurture] [Kohiki]. This is a super long-selling product that has been on the market for over 40 years. Plain white Kohiki, rich in earthiness, is simple and easy to use for daily meals. Yet, it does not have the hardness of Western tableware, and even has a sense of warmth. Small sized plates are often used. Kohiki dishes absorb water. It is also difficult for water to escape from its structure, so it takes a lot of time and effort to use it. However, it is a pleasure to use it carefully. It is a vessel that can be used, enjoyed for its color changes, and nurtured. That is what Kohiki is all about. Kohiki vessels sometimes have a pinkish color called "Gohonte".
