Description
| Pewter is a metal mainly composed of tin. Its characteristic is that it is extremely soft and easy to process fine molding. Tin has long been mined in England, and pewter has been used in England and throughout Europe. It is said that tin mellows water due to its ionic effect, and since the Middle Ages, many items such as tableware have been made of tin. The Worshipful Company of Pewterers in England [The Worshipful Ompany of Pewterers] began in 1348, which is believed to be the oldest extant record. The union is also still extant at the London City Hall in London*St. Paul's. COMPTON & CLARKE This brand was created by designers Nick Rübesamen and Henrike Mayer. They believe that postcards on the refrigerator are too boring. The concept of "from flat to three-dimensional, from two-dimensional to three-dimensional" is one of the themes found in almost all of their designs, and they use advanced laser cutting techniques to create delicate designs. All products are made in a workshop that has long existed in the Berlin*Kreuzberg district, known as a creative area. The handmade paper used for formes BERLIN products is made from leftover fibers and produced in an environmentally friendly way. The paper materials used are sustainably produced or made from recycled materials, and all packaging products use bags made of bioplastic (PLA). When assembly work is required, the company also outsources the work to the physically challenged.
