Description
The very popular Sumida River series of furoshiki has been loved for a long time in Japan and abroad. The world of Ukiyoe, paintings that express the unique ideas and aesthetics of Japan, is expressed in the furoshiki. Compact and less bulky, the furoshiki can be used for wrapping, decorating, and a variety of other purposes, making it a perfect souvenir for people overseas. Ukiyo-e is a popular type of painting that flourished during the Edo period (1603-1868). In order to promote inexpensive, high-quality paintings to the public, woodblock prints were mainly used, but there were also ukiyoe artists who painted pictures with their own hand. The word Ukiyo means the present world, not the other shore, the present, not the past or the future, and the mundane world with a strong sense of sexuality. Ukiyo-e subjects were mainly depicted in the social customs of the time, which were at the forefront of fashion at the time. Furoshiki Bento wrapping, wrapping, blindfold, interior decoration, gift, furosiki Furoshiki wrapping cloth traditional pattern Japanese pattern |
