Description
| Sara lost her mother upon her birth. Raised by a single parent, she aspired to become a writer and won a new writer's award. Her first novel was a hit, but her career continued to decline, and she moved to the United States to explore new writing possibilities. Just as she becomes friends with an elderly man named Daniel at a part-time job at a retirement home, Sara receives the news that her father is in critical condition and returns to Japan. The film is composed of alternating scenes of Sara and the middle work she is portraying. The middle story is about Izumi Tsubaki, who comes to France as a nurse during World War I. The two stories are connected by several words. |
