素材として使用されている「マンゴーウッド」は、文字通り、マンゴーの木です。マンゴーの木は、インド人がマンゴーを食べるためにどんどん植えていますので、切ったら、また必ず植えられる再生可能な資源です。
熱帯雨林の木材は切ったら終わりですが、このマンゴーウッドはいくらでも再生可能。これからの木材としてインドで注目されています。
マンゴーウッドは、熱帯の木材ですので、あまり丈夫ではありません。組立時に足のねじ回しのところが、軽く欠けてしまうことがありますが、一旦、きちんと組み立てれば全く問題はなくなりますので、御理解の上ご購入ください。
