インドの生活感あふれる布、ガムチャと呼ばれる万能布で日本で言う手ぬぐいのような布です。シンプルな白地のサイドにインドカラーでラインが入っているのが特徴的。
現地では、祭壇に使用したり、頭に巻いたり、手拭きにしたり。色やサイズに合わせて何にでも様々な用途にお使いいただけます。
ざっくりと編まれているから速乾性にも優れており、使えば使うほど、洗えば洗うほど生地が馴染んで柔らかくなってきます。お皿を拭いたり、目隠し布やランチョンマットのように広げて使用しても◎また、大きめサイズならクーラーの風よけや日焼け防止にも使用できます。
縫製はとてもラフで、生地にもほつれがあったり、うまく縫えていなかったり・・・本当にインドの一般庶民が使っているそのまんま。細かいことを気にせず使っていただける方向きです。
