The teapots are made by Mr. Hirotaka Umehara, a second generation Gyokko, a traditional craftsman of Tokoname ware, and the teapots are decorated with black mud. Kutani-yaki painter Tsugimori Tamura hand painted the kyusu. In Tokoname*Kutani, two pottery production centers that have kept the tradition alive for many years Kutani Yaki potter Tsugimori Tamura hand painted these kuroyosu. The work has been completed. The kyusu is made of red clay by rokuro (clay drawing), The concept of this kyusu is simple, light, and easy to use. Various techniques such as blue grain*red grain*gold leaf*silver leaf*transfer overglaze painting are skillfully combined, The painting is done in consideration of the balance with the shape of the kyusu. *Tokoname: One of the six oldest kilns in Japan, Tokoname is a pottery town steeped in history. 長年に渡り作陶を続けてきた窯元による伝統工芸の逸品が

朱泥土のロクロ引きにて作り出される急須は、
シンプルで軽くて使いやすいをコンセプトに作っております。
青粒・赤粒・金箔・銀箔・転写上絵等の様々な技を巧みに組み合わせ、
急須の形状とのバランスを考え絵付けを施しております。
■常滑:日本の六古窯の一つ、歴史に彩られた焼き物の街。
伊勢湾に面した知多半島の西海岸に位置する愛知県常滑市は
中部国際空港(セントレア)の玄関口であり、東西6km・南北16kmと
