Description
*Directly imported from the U.S.A.* Hot Wheels sign *Licensed product Embossed metal sign of American toy manufacturer Mattel's miniature car brand [Hot Wheels It is uneven to match the design. The size is small, but it can be displayed with other signboards. In the late 1960s, Mattel, which had achieved great success with Barbie dolls, took the next step and launched Hot Wheels, a line of miniature cars for boys. At that time, Lesney's [Matchbox] was already dominating the market share in the U.K., but the company gathered talented designers from GM, Ford, and Chrysler, and with a design motif based on hot rods and a concept of miniature cars that ran faster than anything made by other companies, it became a big hit! The rival minicar company [Matchbox], Lesney, also became a subsidiary of Mattel. The Hot Wheels logo was designed by California artist Rick *Irons, who was working for Mattel at the time, and it fits the extreme deformation of the Hot Wheels miniature cars. The company was originally sold in Japan as Hot Wheels, but changed its name to Hot Wheels in 1999. There are holes on the top and bottom of the sign, and it also comes with metal fittings for hooks, so it can be easily displayed. |
