| A work by Katsushika Hokusai. It is one of the famous works in "Fugaku Sanjurokkei (Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji)" along with "Akafuji (Red Fuji). It is characterized by the contrast of stillness and motion, change and universality, large and small, between the giant, violent, living waves and the smaller Mount Fuji. It can be used for bags, cushion covers, one-size-fits-all bottles, and large gift wrapping. While most ukiyoe designs are generally for women, ukiyoe is also favored by men, who use it as a shoulder bag or choose it as a Father's Day or birthday gift. |
