常滑焼(とこなめやき)は、平安時代後期から1,000年の歴史を有し、日本六古窯のひとつに数えられる焼き物産地です。急須や食器などの日用品から陶管・タイル・衛生陶器などの建築資材まで幅広い製品がつくられています。昭和51年6月11日、国の「伝統的工芸品産業の振興に関する法律」に基づき伝統的工芸品として産地指定を受けました。
■伝統工芸士の梅原廣隆氏と幸隆氏の親子を中心とした急須製造の窯元、玉光陶園さんの手造り急須です。
■急須全体が陶器で出来ています。お茶の旨みを抽出することの出来る陶製茶こし(セラメッシュ)です。
■5人分の容量とお考えください。(1人100mlとして)
■朱泥陶土を1100度で本焼成した後800度で炭化焼成し黒色に変化させます。
■赤く研ぎ出しした部分があります(あけぼのの技法)
