Description
A colorful calendar that makes you feel like aloha 365 days a year! Hand painted calendar made of handmade paper from Nepal. The design has a fun Hawaiian feel and will brighten up any room. The raw material for the handmade paper is lokta, which is found in the high Himalayas at altitudes of 1,800 to 3,000 meters above sea level. Lokta is an earth-friendly material because it is a renewable paper resource when harvested and produced in the right way. Handmade paper in Nepal, at the foot of the Himalayas, is called Himalayan Rice Paper, and is made from the bark of the locta tree, which is found in the Himalayan highlands between 1,800 and 3,000 meters above sea level. Each piece is made by hand using a method that has remained unchanged since ancient times. In addition to being resistant to insects, the paper is very strong and durable. All coloring is done by hand. |
