*Came from the village of Ajrakpur.

Ajrakh cloth is deep blue and deep red. It is one of the most beautiful cloths in the world, combining wonderful colors that cannot be produced by simple dyeing with Islamic patterns.

The people of Ajrakhpur are all Muslims and belong to a tribe called Khatri, who used to live in a place called Damathika until the Gujarat earthquake in 2001, when their village was destroyed and they moved to Ajrakhpur in search of a place with more abundant water.

Ajrak cloth can only be made in the unique desert climate. It is a cloth so rooted in the land and climate that people in Jaipur say [they tried to imitate it but could not do it].

In the desert, we moved to find a place where there is water. That is how important water is for dyeing.

Symbolic of Ajrak fabrics are geometric patterns influenced by Islamic culture, but there are also motifs of nature, such as plants, trees, and waves. This item is based on a chintz pattern.

*Ajrak design cultivated by tradition

Ajrakh cloth is said to trace its roots back more than 4,000 years. It has been made from Sindh, Pakistan to Kutch, India.

Traces of ajrakh cloth can be seen on the famous stone statues of priest-kings excavated in the Indus city of Mohenjo-daro (2500 B.C. to 1800 B.C.). The shawl over the shoulders of the statue was carved with motifs unique to ajrakh.

The designs include a star-centered radial pattern and nature motifs such as plants, trees, and waves. Influenced by Islamic art, no people or animals are depicted. The geometric patterns are repeated, and the designs are reminiscent of Islamic architectural ornamentation.

*The patterns are dyed one by one using handmade crystal woodblocks (woodblocks), giving this cloth an elegant and luxurious finish. This is the result of careful and time-consuming handwork, as the woodblocks are changed every time the color changes. India is a treasure trove of beautiful fabrics, and this is one of the finest.

The cloth has a unique irregularity that only handmade wood block prints can produce, and it is very atmospheric.

*Conveniently measured! This fabric has a variety of uses, depending on your ideas, and is not too flashy, yet still tasteful. It is sold in measurements, so you can buy only the amount you need.

*The price is per meter, so if you purchase 1 item, you will receive 1 meter, if you purchase 3 items, you will receive 3 meters, and so on, depending on the number of items you order.

*About the lengths that can be sent connected together

Due to the handmade production process, this cut fabric is made by dividing the fabric into certain lengths, and the maximum length that can be sent connected together is about 5 meters.

Therefore, even if you order 8m, for example, the fabric may be divided into 4m+4m in the middle.
