Description
| This furoshiki is a collaboration of Tukiyomi design and mashu with Art Kurakoshi, a historic dyeing factory in Tokyo founded in 1906. We collected animal and plant patterns that have been passed down from generation to generation and kept carefully for many years, and redesigned them into checkered furoshiki with anomalous rhythm. Each animal's pattern is deformed, but it looks funny, funny, fun and lively. Depending on the way you wrap it, the animal that pops up will change, so you can enjoy it for a long time. The color scheme is festive, so it is perfect for celebratory occasions, but the gentle expression of the pattern makes it perfect for everyday use as well. In a wooden Gassho-zukuri factory that has been in Kyoto for 110 years, craftsmen continue to dye each furoshiki carefully, one by one, using the traditional technique of hand-dyeing.
