| Each piece is made with sincerity by Michio Ito, a traditional Mino ware craftsman. It has a simple, warm, earthy appearance with a touch of elegance. What is a traditional craftsman*? A system to certify technicians engaged in the manufacture of [traditional crafts] designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, who maintain advanced techniques*. In other words, it is a national qualification. Once certified as a traditional craftsman, he/she is responsible for preserving the traditional crafts of each region, polishing techniques and skills, and promoting traditional crafts. 経済産業大臣指定の『伝統工芸品』の製造に従事する技術者で、高度な技術・技法を保持する方を認定する制度。つまり国家資格にあたります。
伝統工芸士に認定されると、産地それぞれの伝統工芸を保存、技術・技法の研磨し伝統工芸の振興に務めることになります。
そして、次の世代へ伝えていくという責務を果たすこと。そのための重要な認定制度です。
