Even now, more than half a century after her death, her designs are still fresh and attracting attention. We bring you the kawaii world of Richi Ueno in fabrics. [Profile]Richi Ueno (1893-1967) was a designer active in Vienna and Kyoto. Her married name was Felice Rix. Born in Vienna, she was influenced by Japanese culture and art at the Vienna School of Crafts. After working as a designer at the Wiener Werkstätte, she met and married the Japanese architect Isaburo Ueno. After moving to Kyoto, she continued to work as a designer between Vienna and Kyoto. This ox fabric has a gorgeous poppy pattern. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from dresses, skirts, and other clothing to interior decorations, covers, personal effects, and accessories. |

【プロフィール】上野リチ（1893-1967）ウィーンと京都で活躍したデザイナー。結婚前の名前はフェリーツェ・リックス（Felice Rix）。ウィーンで生まれ、ウィーン工芸学校にて日本の文化や芸術に影響を受ける。ウィーン工房のデザイナーとして活躍し、日本人建築家上野伊三郎に出会い結婚。その後京都へ移住後もウィーンと京都を行き来しながらデザイナーとして活動していた。
