Description
Tanigawadake, seven-sun Japanese dish, Ezo hydrangea This 7" Japanese dish was developed in collaboration with Tokyo University of the Arts. At the request of the town of Minakami, Gunma Prefecture, students and graduates of the Tokyo University of the Arts' Oil Painting Techniques Laboratory spent approximately two years completing a botanical illustrated book with the aim of communicating the natural splendor of Mt. Tanigawa and preserving the precious highland plants that inhabit the mountain. Tanigawa, and to preserve the precious highland plants that inhabit Mt. Tanigawa. 群馬県みなかみ町の依頼により、東京藝術大学油画技法研究室の学生、卒業生が中心となり、谷川岳の自然の素晴らしさを伝えること、谷川岳に生息する貴重な高原植物を保全することを目的として、約2年間の歳月をかけて完成した植物図鑑。その原画を下に食器開発プロジェクトが始まり、原画完成から約1年の歳月を経て、東京藝術大学油画技法研究室と共同開発した谷川岳植物図鑑之器が完成しました。
