| This is a lightweight gold-bone Japanese umbrella* made in Koshu (Yamanashi Prefecture) using Koshu-ori fabric, which is painstakingly woven one piece at a time by hand. The entire surface is woven with a floral pattern using a traditional special technique called hogushi weaving. The tassel at the handle gives it a luxurious feel.
