Description
Shigaraki ware is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. Shigaraki ware is carefully crafted by artisans in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, who have inherited a tradition born from a long history that dates back to the 8th century. The clay used as raw material is coarse, lightweight, and resistant. The ceramic clay used as raw material is coarse, lightweight, and fire-resistant. The clay is mixed and kneaded with three different types of clay, which increases its strength and heat retention properties, making it suitable not only for making large and thick objects such as vases and vases, but also for making tableware. Sake vessels are made by taking advantage of these properties. It is resistant to heat loss even when filled with hot sake, and also keeps it cold when filled with cold sake. Since it is made of natural materials, it is said to have little effect on sake, allowing you to enjoy the pure flavor of sake without losing its original flavor. Each sake cup is carefully ground on the potter's wheel based on the intuition of the craftsman, and the unevenness of the ceramic clay caused by large and small stones appears and overlaps with the deep glaze, creating a unique, rustic, and warm texture. Just as wine has wine glasses and decanters, sake has kataguchi and gugume cups, and the time and manner of drinking with them is not only a taste but also a profound experience of good old Japanese culture and tradition. |

*Precautions for use
Do not use the product for any purpose other than its intended use. For long-lasting use, please refrain from using microwave ovens and dishwashers. *First of all Since the clay particles of ceramic ware are coarse and absorb water, "stop the stain" to prevent stains and odors from adhering to the ware. 1. Wash in lukewarm water to remove dirt. 2. Put rice water or water mixed with flour or potato starch in a pot, and soak the product in the mixture. Put the product on the fire and boil it slowly over low heat for about 30 minutes. 3. Turn off the heat, let cool naturally, wash off any sliminess, etc., and dry thoroughly. *When using the product To prevent stains and odors from sticking to the product, quickly soak it in water and wipe it with a soft cloth before use. *Care instructions Pottery is absorbent, so it contains more moisture than you might imagine. It is important to dry it well, as storing it in a fresh state can cause odors and mold. 1. Avoid prolonged soaking and washing, and wash with a soft sponge and dishwashing detergent. 2. Finally, pour hot water over the stains to thoroughly remove them. This will also speed up the drying process. 3. Turn the dishtops upside down and dry them thoroughly before storing them in a cupboard, etc. |
