Description
It is chestnut bark tea of 160 mortar [nagara]. This kataguchi mortar by Maruhon Seitosho, established in 1908, has a warm design with a beautiful combed surface and deep glaze tones by craftsmen. The traditional techniques of the past are still appealing even after the passage of time, and each piece has a different glaze expression. The spout makes it convenient and easy to pour yam and sauce. It is also nice to grind sesame seeds in a mortar, make sesame paste or tofu paste in the bowl, and serve it directly on the dining table. It is also recommended for making simple dressings by simply adding seasonings and mixing. The 160 mortar is available in a total of three colors, and there is also a surikogi that fits the mortar perfectly. Click here for the 18cm mortar. Click here for the list of *nagara*. *Click here for the list of Minoru Pottery original products*. *Dishwasher*Microwave safe. *This product is made of red clay, which is slightly water absorbent and has a characteristic of being slightly less strong than porcelain clay products. Therefore, we recommend using microwave ovens sparingly. Also, a decorative technique called "kannyu (penetration)" is used to create a fine crack pattern on the glaze surface by taking advantage of the difference in shrinkage rate between clay and glaze. Please be assured that this is not a crack or defect. By applying a stopper, the color and odor of food can be prevented to some extent from being transferred to the grooves of the crack pattern. *Pinholes, surface irregularities, and the presence or absence of browned glaze are not considered to be defects and are not considered to be defects. *The base is rough, so please place a cloth or board on it to prevent scratching.
