■ペンブロック
ペンブロックとは南ウエールズ地方のペンブロックシャイアーという首都の名です。
ヘンリー7世の誕生で有名な城があり、景観のすぐれた土地です。
18世紀この地を訪れたデザイナーが、当時西洋ではなかなか手に入らなかった日本の伊万里焼を目にします。
そして東洋の憧れが舞い降りてきた喜びから、この伊万里焼をイメージしてデザインされました。
1970年代に復刻し、現在ではエインズレイを代表する作品の一つとなっています。
■素材はすべてファインボーン・ボーンチャイナを使用。
エインズレイのファイン・ボーンチャイナは牛骨粉の配合を51%以上と規定、
堅牢で傷がつきにくく、半永久的に白く透明感を保ち、更に保温性に優れております。
素焼きの焼成温度は1150度を使用しております。
絵付け後の焼成温度は色によって異なった焼成温度を使用しております。
■ハンドペントとシルクスクリーン転写技法
ハンドペイントは、その字のごとく絵付け師（ペインター）一人一人の手描きで完成されてゆきます。
エインズレイのシルクスクリーン転写紙技法は、その道一筋の転写紙職人が、転写紙一枚一枚を丁寧に手で貼ってゆくハンド転写という手作りに拘った技法です。
ですので、転写紙技法であっても、作品一つ一つが全てことなるデザインとなって生まれてきます。
