Description
[Made in Japan] Minoyaki Shofu Kiln, Yoji Sone, KANNA tray, two colors, tableware/platter, Scandinavian style [Product Description] This is a dish produced by Yoji Sone of Shofugama, a Minoyaki potter and artist of the Nitten exhibition. The ancient jumping plane technique has been arranged in a modern style to create a fashionable bowl with a Scandinavian atmosphere. The plate is a versatile size that can be used for main dishes such as meat and fish, or as a large bread plate*cake plate. The gorgeous design of the rim part of the plate will brighten up your dining table. The hopping plane technique is a technique in which the raw material is placed on a wheel and a plane or spatula is applied to the spinning material, which causes the surface of the material to be shaved off in a flying pattern. Mr. Sone has used two or three colors instead of the conventional single color to create a design that is somehow reminiscent of a Northern European style, despite the fact that it is an ancient Japanese technique. |
