Introducing CARVALHO, a handkerchief towel made in Portugal. A long-established towel manufacturer with a rich history, having been in business for 100 years. CARVALHO's towels are known for their vivid colors and cost performance. Normally, the more colors you use, the higher the price tends to go, but even with this many colors, the price is only 450 yen. Even though it came all the way from Portugal*! The fluffy material with a luxurious feel is one of the reasons for its popularity! [CARVALHO] Founded in 1925 in Guimarães, north of Porto, the commercial capital of Portugal. The northern part of Porto is a prosperous area for cotton fabrics, and GUIMARAES in particular has long been home to many ateliers of pile fabrics, supplying pile products to European countries since the early 20th century. CARVALHO was a family business when it was founded, mainly subcontracting towels and other products for hotels, but after the war, the company expanded its business around the development of its own brand, and in parallel with the CARVALHO brand, it has been promoting production and supply of pile products to hotels, its original business, in various European countries, and has also Since around 2000, the company has installed solar panels on its premises as part of the electricity used by the company, and has created a filtration system to circulate industrial wastewater within the production system.
