This is a sister product of Kyoto Toji's Aburatorigami. It is made of 100% hemp paper, so it has excellent oil absorbing power.
[Unlike "Kyoto Toji no Aburatorigami", the number of sheets is now 80, with 5 more sheets, which makes our customers very happy.
They are mainly sold at Tokyu Hands and Loft.
Why are our oil blotting paper still selling well? The answer is simple.
[It is because they are made of Japanese paper. The oil blotting paper that you generally use is [pulp].
Pulp absorbs moisture well, but it absorbs very little oil.
There is no point in using cheap products if they do not absorb grease.
This Washi Aburatorigami is not so different from pulp paper in price and the number of sheets it contains.

[Aburatorigami from Toji Temple]
As you know, the five-story pagoda of To-ji Temple, the head temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism, located at the entrance to Heian-kyo, is the symbol of this paper. The raw material is hemp, a plant fiber. Furthermore, the fibers are crushed by applying pressure to the Washi paper, resulting in an excellent product that absorbs only sebum. It is an original oil blotting paper that does not absorb water by capillary action, which is often seen in pulp paper.

[Toji Temple]
There were two temples at the entrance to Heian-kyo (present-day Kyoto), To-ji Temple and Sai-ji Temple, but only To-ji Temple remains today. It is widely known as the temple where Kobo Daishi (Kukai) lived. The five-story wooden pagoda, one of the largest in Japan, is the first structure you see when you arrive at Kyoto Station on the Shinkansen bullet train.
