Asumi katakuti bowl - purple Asumi katakuti bowl - purple The "asumi" series is a slightly eco-friendly series of bowls made of recycled clay. A wide variety of color variations and warm hand-built style bowls have been added to the series. This small katakuti bowl can be used to hold homemade dressings and sauces. *Due to the characteristics of the glaze, it may have a strong reddish color. Please be forewarned. [Re-dishware] Clay, the raw material of pottery, is extracted from the earth, but once fired, pottery does not return to the earth even after 1,000 years. Until now, the only way to dispose of unused tableware was to bury it in landfill. The idea of how to recycle them and how to reuse them as raw materials for pottery again led to the creation of recycled tableware made from recycled clay, called "Re-dishware" ([asumi] is made by mixing used tableware scraps, which are crushed until they are less than 1 mm, into conventional clay by kneading 20% of the clay into the tableware. 焼き物の原料である粘土は土から採れますが、一度焼かれてしまった焼き物は1000年経っても土に還りません。
これまで使われなくなった食器の処分方法は埋め立てしかありませんでした。
それをどうやって循環させるか、焼き物をもう一度焼き物の原料として再利用できないかという考えから生まれたのが「Re-食器」と呼ばれる、リサイクル土を原料としたリサイクル食器です(「asumi(彩澄)」は使用済みの食器を1ミリ以下になるまで粉砕した食器くずを、従来の粘土に20%練りこんだものを使って作られています)。
