信楽焼は、滋賀県信楽町周辺で作られている陶磁器です。
その歴史は古く、奈良時代最盛期まで遡るといわれ日本六古窯の一つとされています。
ざっくりとした素朴な土の風合いが特徴となり、その土味を生かして焼き上げられた味わいは
「景色」と呼ばれ、土と炎が織りなす芸術として「わびさび」の趣を現代に伝えています。
