Description
New York Times Bestseller DreamWorks Film Adaptation! Kids in over 30 countries are hooked! The most [uncool] anti-heroes in the world! This story reminds us of the diversity in each of us. Please enjoy your time at home with the stories of the members who are full of individuality. --Translator: Haruno Nakai The series has sold more than 10 million copies! The world has been fascinated by the heroic mission of the "Kirawaremono"! Mr. *Wolf is a villain who looks badass in every way. But in fact, he is a "good guy" who yearns to be a hero. In order to clear up the misconceptions of the world, he enlists his friends Snake, Piranha, and Shark, who have the same problem, to form the [Hero Club]! They struggle in every way possible to become heroes who help everyone. All pages have furigana! For children for whom picture books are not enough, this book has more pages and characters than picture books, but the pictures are larger and there are fewer panels than in children's books or comics for children. This is a perfect book for children who have grown tired of picture books. [Comment from Haruno Nakai, translator of many children's books including "Greg's Bad Diary," "Dogman," and "Wonder [I bought the first volume when it was recommended to me at a bookstore in New York, and when I returned to Japan, I decided to translate this story. This is not just a hero story. Every character is hated by everyone. Even if they live a normal life, they are treated like villains. So Mr. *Wolf takes a stand and tries to prove that he and his friends are not actually bad guys. The other characters, who thought it was impossible to be liked by everyone, reluctantly get caught up in Mr. Wolfe's idea, and though they repeatedly fail, they help those in trouble or in distress. The story is full of ups and downs. This is like the "Red Devil Who Cried" in the old tale. Or, it reminds me of what happened to Julian in "Wonder," which I translated into Japanese. This is a graphic novel that can be enjoyed by both young children and adults. Have you ever been saddened by being judged by others as [this kind of person]? Or have you ever been labeled by others as someone you don't want to be? This story reminds us of the diversity that each of us possesses. Enjoy your time at home with the stories of our unique members]. |
