| Helminoldic Line (Biography of Naoto Niidome) Naoto Niidome is of half Japanese and half Finnish parentage. He graduated from the former Helsinki University of the Arts with two undergraduate degrees in fashion and architecture at the same time. After making his debut at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, he gained experience at Marimekko (fashion and accessories) and Nanso (new bedding). (fashion and accessories) and Nanso (new bedding). He was one of the first designers to introduce Finnish culture and customs to Japan. Currently he lives in Helsinki and is involved in various fields of production, including spatial projects.
