Description
Kakishibu-dyed Noren (persimmon tannin-dyed curtains) using yarn dyed with persimmon tannin, which gives the curtains a soft handmade texture. [Using yarn-dyed threads]. The threads are dyed using persimmon tannin and sumi ink, and the fabric is finished. Dyeing from the threads [persimmon tannin dyeing] or [sumi ink dyeing] is a time-consuming process in which each thread is soaked in the dye several times. The finished product takes longer, but the time and effort required results in a warm and rare product. By interweaving persimmon tannin with sumi and indigo yarns, a new texture is created. [Kakishibu Dyeing] Kakishibu is made by mashing green astringent persimmons, squeezing out the juice, and fermenting and aging the juice. The tannin contained in persimmon tannin has waterproofing effects, antiseptic effects, insect repellency, and durability enhancement, and has long been used in daily life as a dye and paint. The juice of the green persimmon is light green in color, but as it is fermented and left to ferment, it gradually turns a dark brown color. The charm of persimmon tannin dyeing is that you can enjoy different expressions (dyed results) depending on the dyeing season, temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors. |

*The fabrics used for these products are "naturally dyed", so color fading and shrinkage may occur.
*Due to the nature of the dye, when wet with water or sweat, or when rubbed strongly, the color may migrate to other items, so please avoid leaving the item wet. *When washing, it is recommended to hand-wash each item separately. *As all fabrics are dyed by hand, they are susceptible to the natural environment, such as the time of year, climate, and temperature. Texture and color may vary slightly from lot to lot. |
