[The top of the book is a little uneven.
This is due to a binding technique called "Uncut Top", in which only the top of the book is uncut from the sides (top, bottom [top and bottom], and sides [small end]). This is a more time-consuming and expensive binding method than the common "three-way cutting" method, in which all three sides are cut to length.  
[In "All about living things", there are many living things such as rabbits, baku, cats, sukanku, and so on. In this book, each creature has a different way of looking at things and has its own independent view of the world. Sometimes they fight, sometimes they argue differently. There are many gaps between them. [All of the Living Things" depicts a world where creatures with such disparate personalities live together.
  It's an uneven world, the exact opposite of a uniform and homogeneous world, but it looks kind of fun.
  The world of the world is a world of unevenness, the opposite of a uniform and homogeneous world;

The jagged, uneven, natural feel and texture of the tenancut is very much in keeping with the world that Masaru Fujimoto has depicted in this book.
  The binding was conceived by book designer Naoko Nakui.   I am very pleased with the binding;
