| This plate is durable, gentle and beautifully grained. The beautiful curves and fine workmanship show the high level of craftsmanship. On one side, the logo is branded. -Mountain Cherry Blossom The wood has been used for a long time as an excellent timber, Sutechi-cho, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, is known as the home of the sacred tree for the Ise Jingu Shikinen Sengu (the annual relocation ceremony of the Ise Jingu Shrine). It is made at Arai Sawmill, located in a mountain village rich in nature. We purchase locally grown lumber in its raw state and carry out all processes until it is made into products here. Every tree is an important resource. The lumber is considered from the lumbering stage so that it can be used without waste. The hardwood mountain cherry tree does not produce any resin and has a beautiful bark. It is hard and solid, making it resistant to scratches, and the more it is used, the more it develops a candy-colored appearance. It is the perfect material for everyday tools. |

伊勢神宮式年遷宮のご神木の里として知られる岐阜県中津川市付知町。
自然豊かな山里にある新井製材所で作られています。
地元で育った木材を原木の状態で仕入れ、製品になるまでの全ての工程をここで行っています。
どんな木も大切な資源。
無駄なく使いきれるよう製材の段階から考えられています。
広葉樹である山桜はヤニがでず、木肌が美しいのが特徴です。
固くしっかりしているため、傷がつきにくく、使い込むほどにあめ色に育っていきます。
