Collaboration of Hokusai and 360°BOOK!

Hokusai Manga in Motion! Behold! Behold! Behold the vibrancy!

The theme of this 360°book is the sparrow dance depicted in the Hokusai manga.
[Jakodori is a traditional dance in which the dancers imitate the movements of sparrows.
It is said to have originated as an impromptu dance performed by stonemasons from Senshu*Sakai at a banquet held during the transfer ceremony of Sendai Castle.
Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) featured this dance in the third volume of his "Hokusai Manga," in which he depicted people dressed in yakuza costumes and hats dancing to the accompaniment of shamisen and song, as if they were about to start moving.
