From plants and animals to fossils and minerals, the collection room of the Kyoto University Museum is an impressive wonderland that houses approximately 2.6 million items.
This book introduces various specimens in the basement storage room, which is not open to the public, with abundant photographs and easy-to-understand explanations.
Also included are fieldwork records and sketches made by artist* Zon Ito, who accompanied the museum staff. The secrets of the specimens' births are explored.



Includes a commentary by Yoko Ogawa (novelist).

After working for a publishing company, she has worked on numerous books and magazines, and holds exhibitions and events in conjunction with the production of her books.

In 2003, he held a solo exhibition [Kinjyo no Hate] at the Watari-um Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.
