Description
[I think about myself in [pictures], and I think in [pictures]."] Spending time with family, getting a job, moving, painting. Eight years have passed since the publication of her first collection. What Masako Ando thought about in [picture], and its continuation. Masako Ando has been highly acclaimed for her oil paintings with a smooth painting surface and pencil drawings with a fine, hard texture. Recently, Ando moved to Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, and after living in a ceramic town and the birth of her second child, she underwent a major development from her previous expressions. This book contains 60 works, including new ceramic works, watercolors, charcoal drawings, and paintings. While maintaining her approach of carefully capturing the present moment of familiar objects, the book also looks at the artist's current state, who has consistently continued to create "pictures" while changing her techniques. Included in the interview: [Naming the paintings: How the paintings started and the story from there] Changes in technique, how he paints, Kenzaburo Oe's books, spending time with his family, what he hopes for in the future... etc.. etc.... ?? Contribution: O JUN (painter), Hisashi Ishizaki (Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art) Painter and curator talk about Masako Ando's paintings. Masako Ando Born in Aichi in 1976. Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music in 2001, majoring in oil painting. Currently Associate Professor of Oil Painting at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music. He is a recipient of the Aichi Prefecture Art and Culture Newcomer's Award.
