Description
| While maintaining a cultural style of painting, Ukiyo-e has depicted many aspects of people's daily lives and customs. Two representative works from the 36 Views of Mount Fuji by Katsushika Hokusai, one of Japan's most famous ukiyoe artists, have been made into a large furoshiki (wrapping cloth) with a size of 104 cm. The splashes and clouds are subtly pearlized for a bold yet delicate finish. It can be used as a tapestry, tablecloth, or other decorative item, and can also be carried as a bag or used to wrap large gifts or clothing. It is also recommended as a souvenir. |
