Description
| This indigo dish is simple and fits in well with any dining table. A large flower blooming in the dish decorates the dining table. The rust and blown ink on the rim in places accentuate the sense of dynamism. Each vessel is hand-painted. The artisan technique, cultivated over many years, is depicted with a spontaneous touch of the brush. Because it is hand-painted, there may be slight differences in color and pattern. Arita-yaki is a ceramic ware produced mainly in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. Arita is one of the most famous pottery towns in Japan, with a tradition of over 400 years. |
