In 1997, he moved to Lerida in Spain, where he played 34 games and scored 4 goals. In 2001, he returned to Yokohama F*Marinos, and in 2002 he went back to Spain on a temporary transfer. After a year with Racine de Ferrol, he returned to Yokohama F*Marinos, and in 2005 moved to Kashiwa Reysol, where he retired. He then turned to coaching, serving as the national coach of cerebral palsy 7-man soccer (CP soccer) and as the manager of SC Sagamihara in the J-League.
