Born in Hokkaido, Akira Odagiri graduated from Kanazawa College of Art in 1961 with a degree in commercial design and joined Dentsu in the same year. In 2010, he became Chairman Emeritus of Ogilvy*and*Mather*Japan. He is also active as an illustrator and has created numerous drawings.
