Gegege no Nyobo*Mura Nunoe was called "the sun in the house" by Mr. Shigeru Mizuki, and she is as energetic as ever. Even now, as she approaches the age of majority, she is still standing in the kitchen, cooking, doing household chores to the extent that she can, and pursuing her hobbies. What is even more important than such physical lifestyle is [youthfulness of mind]. Since then, she has been supporting her husband, a manga artist and yokai researcher, for more than half a century. In 2008, she published her first essay [Gegege no Nyobo: Life is ...... All's Well that Ends Well!] was published in 2008. In 2010, based on the same essay, the NHK TV series "Gegege no Nyobo" (Gegege's Wife) was broadcast and became a huge boom. Gegege no Nyobo" was also made into a movie and a stage play, and won the grand prize in the 2010 You-Can New Words and Trendy Words Awards. She is blessed with two daughters and a grandson. |

【著者プロフィール】
武良布枝(むら ぬのえ)
昭和7年(1932)、島根県安来市大塚町生まれ。昭和36年(1961)、水木しげる(本名:武良茂)と結婚。以来、半世紀以上、漫画家・妖怪研究者として活躍する夫を支え続ける。平成20年(2008)、初エッセイ『ゲゲゲの女房 人生は……終わりよければ、すべてよし!!』を刊行。同作を基に平成22年(2010)、NHK連続テレビ小説『ゲゲゲの女房』が放送され、一大ブームとなる。さらに映画化、舞台化もされて、「ゲゲゲの~」は「2010年ユーキャン新語・流行語大賞」年間大賞を受賞。二女と孫一人に恵まれる。
